No referral required. Services may be claimed on private health insurance through HICAPS avoiding the need to claim in a branch.

HCF More for Muscles Program

HCF members with extras now get their initial physiotherapy consultation free under the More for Muscles program. This is claimed with your HCF card through HICAPS so make sure you bring it with you.

Medicare Chronic Disease Management Program

The Medicare allied health initiative allows individuals with a chronic illness to access Medicare rebates for allied health services.* This must be done via a referral from your General Practitioner (GP). If you think you may be eligible please discuss this with your GP.

Workcover

 

If you have been injured at work you may be eligible to receive physiotherapy treatment under the Workcover scheme. For further information visit http://www.worksafe.vic.gov.au

TAC

Injuries sustained in transport accidents are usually eligible for treatment through TAC. For further information consult www.tac.vic.gov.au

DVA

Veterans may receive DVA funding for physiotherapy treatment. For treatment under the DVA funding scheme you will require a referral from your GP. For further information please visit www.dva.gov.au or call us on 1300 747 727.

Better Start

The Better Start for Children with Disability initiative is a government program which provides funding for early intervention services for eligible children. Services must be provided by a registered Better Start provider.

Eligible conditions include:

  • Cerebral palsy
  • Visual and/or hearing impairment
  • Down syndrome
  • Fragile X syndrome
  • Prader-Willi syndrome
  • Cri du Chat syndrome
  • Microcephaly
